The Function of Torque Arm for Hollow shaft Gearbox

The torque arm is a connecting link between the reducer and a fixed point intended to resist the torque developed by the gearbox, transmitting the reaction torque produced by the gearbox, and preventing the counter-rotation of the gearbox during operation.

The function of torque arm is to support the reaction torque of hollow shaft gear units in the shaft-mounted version.

The design of the torque arm mounted hollow shaft mounting system makes for simple assembly and significantly improves removal of the drive even after lengthy periods of operation. We deliver the drive with the bushing matching the respective diameter. The customer installs the clamping ring on the customer shaft and the drive can be mounted and fixed easily.
